GBP/USD fell from 1.3420 to a low of 1.3220, but bounced from there and closed in New York at 1.3305. In Asia, the pair managed to recover to 1.3350.

The Euro came under renewed pressure as well and declined from 1.1150 to 1.1020 yesterday. There, it found decent support and rallied to back to 1.11 into the NY close. In Asia, it traded within a 1.1090-1.1115 range, and flows were light.

Meanwhile, USD/JPY is still struggling to sustain gains above 103. It broke once again above the level in yesterday's late NY session, but fell below it as Tokyo opened. SUpport is seen at 102.80 and 102.20.

Upcoming Events:

08:15 BST – Spanish Manufacturing PMI

08:45 BST – Italian Manufacturing PMI

08:50 BST – French Manufacturing PMI

08:55 BST – German Manufacturing PMI

09:00 BST – Euro Zone Manufacturing PMI

09:30 BST – ECB Member Nowotny speaks

14:45 BST – US Markit Manufacturing PMI

15:00 BST – US ISM Manufacturing PMI

16:00 BST – FOMC Member Mester speaks

Global Markets: Asian stock markets: Nikkei up 0.70 %, Shanghai Composite gained 0.20 %, Hang Seng rose 1.75 %, ASX 200 rallied 0.65 % Commodities: Gold at $1332 (+0.90 %), Silver at $19.26 (+3.45 %), WTI Oil at $48.60 (+0.50 %), Brent Oil at $50.00 (+0.60 %) Rates: US 10 year yield at 1.44, UK … Continue reading Friday 1st July: European Open Briefing

[1

post-17460","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
